Best 3 Blog Monetization Techniques

Best 3 Blog Monetization Techniques
Using blogs to make cash was not very well liked method until four or five years before, when the number of blogs begun to increase exponentially. A blog in short is a website where one has the flexibility to share everything that arrives to his mind. The word blog itself derives from world wide world wide web and log. As of now there are pretty much two types of blogs - personal blogs, which are to announce family members or associates about diverse events and undertakings.

The second kind of blogs are the ones we are going to concentrate on with this item - the enterprise blogs. They are solely utilised to profit from their author cash. So many persons are leaping into blogging, since it is a source of the so called residual earnings. This means that after certain time span of hard work and efforts, the blog will extend to make cash on autopilot.

conversing about making cash through blogging is one believe and actually earning certain thing is entire allotment distinct. There are diverse advances and monetization forms. Some of them can be rather effective, while other ones might turn out to make close to nothing. This counts on a lot of components, so endeavoring as much as you can on your own is the only way to glimpse what works for you the best. With the next couple of paragraphs I would like to insert you to 3 monetization methods, which in my attitude are the best accessible out there.

Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is without a doubt one of the best possible ways to monetize a website. The method involves selecting specific product, which is relevant to your blog's content and promoting it by adding reviews about it and lending links where appropriate. The product can be pretty much everything, but if you're offering information on marketing subjects, I would advice you to try your luck with e-books. Those sell quite well, as they are affordable and provide unique and in most cases useful information. So each time when someone decides to buy the product, you earn a commission (in most cases 50-70% of the product's actual price). The best place for beginning affiliate marketers is ClickBank.

Google AdSense
Google AdSense is one of the widest used monetization programs and there are not many who haven't heard at least once something about it. The concept is quite simple - using number of various algorithms, AdSense places relevant ads on your site's sidebar. When someone cares to click on an ad you earn. Sometimes you may get as much as one dollar, while other times as low as one cent. This depends on a lot of factors, such as your site popularity, the time you're using AdSense, the site's topic and the advertisements themselves. There's also the option to earn from impressions - again the payment rates can vary and you get paid per 1000 impressions.

Selling Ad Space
Although that one can prove very beneficial, it is geared towards the more established websites. If you are getting decent amount of readers, the chances are that there will be companies who'll offer you a monthly fee in order to place their websites on your main page. The bigger part of blogs I have come up charge around 15-20$ a month. You decide how much ads to put - the more you add, the higher the revenue you'll earn, but keep in mind that visitors would prefer a cleaner look and if the whole sidebar is full of ads, you might get readers scared away.

Of course that is just a portion of the monetization techniques available, but I believe that those are just enough for beginners.

Top 4 Tips for AdSense Monetization Secrets For Maximum Profits

Top 4 Tips for AdSense Monetization Secrets For Maximum Profits

How much you earn depends on the amount the advertiser of that particular advert is willing to pay, and also on the keywords that are required. If the advertiser has very popular keywords, you will get much more per click. Conversely, unpopular keywords make you only pennies!

So how do you start making money with AdSense?
1. Sign up for your Google AdSense account, which takes very little time.

2. Once accepted you will get a code to add to your pages. Put the code on any page(s) you like, the more the merrier. Adverts will appear after a while.

3. You earn when someone clicks on the Adverts that are displayed on your web pages. Never click upon the adverts on your own site as Google will ban your account and also prevent you from claiming any legitimate earnings.

4. Keep an eye on your statistics. You can check them whenever you like by logging into your Google AdSense account.

Once your accounts working correctly, you might like to try to emulate the similar websites that earn more money than you do. Of course there are many factors that will affect how your website performs and the amount of cash you can earn from it.

So how can you increase the money you make with AdSense?

1. Focus on one topic on each page. You would do better writing content for your pages with only a limited number of targeted phrases. The search engine will then be able to serve adverts that are more relevant to your page, and therefore you will obtain higher clickthroughs.

2. Just Use white space around the advert. Do this to make the advert much more noticeable than the rest of the stuff on the page. Just be careful not to violate the rules regarding trying to influence people to click on the adverts, this can also get you banned. Do not put arrows pointing to the adverts and things like that. You can edit the colours of the advert if you like, Google allows this.

3. Test putting your advert in different places. Google has all sorts of help within the AdSense account to demonstrate best practice. You can watch many webinars that actually show advert placement and other important issues.

4. Increase the number of content based pages you have on your website. Create many more pages that focus on the individual keyword phrases. This helps with your search engine optimization, something that is all important.

Best Tips How to Monetize your Content and Make Money

Best Tips Monetize your Content and Make Money

How to Monetize your Content and Make Money. Web Hosting Tools to Overcome the Online "Similar Complex" In general there are three things that you must do to make a living online:
  1. Build a platform
  2. Grow an audience
  3. Generate revenue
Are you ready to monetize?
Before you try and monetize a platform, the first thing that you must have is an e-mail subscriber base. Some people can generate six figures with only a few hundred subscribers and, other times, people struggle making money with many thousands of e-mail subscribers. The size of your e-mail subscriber base is not what is important, but rather having a realistic strategy is what is important. Monetizing your content and gaining freedom in your life requires a web hosting provider that offers serious online tools for your website or blog.
Best Ways to Monetize, Pros and Cons of Making Money Online

First off, everyone on the Internet is in separate camps when it comes to their money-making strategies. Many of the strategies work in some form or fashion, but in order to be successful in the long-run, you need to find out what works best for you.

1. Sponsorships and Advertising
  • Pros: If you are lucky enough and persistent enough to get a sponsor or advertiser, it could be a huge revenue windfall for you.
  • Cons: Your life now depends on that revenue windfall. If your advertiser or sponsor changes their mind, you can lose some serious revenue, which means you are out of tons of money and potentially out of business. Why? Because you no longer control your own revenue.
2. One-on-One Personal Coaching or Consulting
  • Pros: Easiest monetization strategy to start. This strategy works well in the short run and you can generate revenue quickly.
  • Cons: Trading dollars for hours and anyone who works with customers or clients knows that in this scenario, you are no longer living by your own rules or by your own schedule. With this model, there is a glass ceiling because you have a finite amount of hours of which to monetize.
3. Affiliate deals and promoting other people and getting paid per sale
  • Pros: More potential revenue down the line
  • Cons: Lack of control. It is not 100% dependent on you.
4. Online Events or In-Person Events
  • Pros: Generate great revenue, help people, pride and a sense of accomplishment
  • Cons: This model is expensive to get started. After the event is over, it's over. You have to constantly re-invent yourself. You can't really sell online recordings of something that occurred ten months ago, for example, unless you have a subject or topic that is "evergreen".
5. Your Own Products: Examples include software, an online course or information that you package up for sale, or some unique knowledge that other people will be interested in.
Options include:
a) a model in which you teach everything,
b) offer a hybrid of you teaching and a guest speaker,
c) offer a live component
  • Pros: You can do a ton of work up-front, but get paid for it over and over again without taking more of your time. It really does well as long as you are promoting it without necessarily take more of your time. You are not trading your time for money. This type of monetization strategy pays the most, which also means you need fewer customers to generate revenue.
  • Cons: Marketing and promoting a course takes time and a lot of effort. You need to wear many hats, create the product, promote, customer service, and other roles require a lot of different skills.
Launch it, sell it, close it. This model is what a lot of Internet entrepreneurs like best. Generating freedom for yourself and having the ability for people to access the course whenever they want is an awesome feeling of freedom. Your clients get everything and you, the entrepreneur, do not have to re-record everything over and over again. Evergreen is "key" to monetizing your content to freedom.

What do you charge?
You want to be at the premium end of your market. You want to have premium clients. Do you want to be the cheapest on the block or the premium? What is your market and look at the higher end of the market. Look at those price points. You want to be in that premium range.

When you go out to market and promote something, it is going to be just as hard to market and promote something that costs $4 as it will be to market and promote something that costs $49. When you are packaging up your product, think about all the time and effort that you are saving your customers. Your product is valuable, so do not sell yourself short. You do not need to start with lower-end products and then move to a premium. You can come out of the gate with something strong. Take pride in your business and take pride in offering results to your clients.

So, now that we know the best ways to monetize and make money online, let's get down to the specific details about how to accomplish it.

Overcome the "Similar Complex"
Overcoming the "who are you" projection will increase the likelihood that you will be successful. Is your website professional looking or does it appear as a template that you just threw up online without customizing? Random templates are not helpful in making your brand stand out. Having a brand that looks good and portrays the impression that you are serious is crucial.

Your website needs to look professional so that your visitors will realize that you are serious about your brand. Does your website look like something that people will want to buy from? Is your website professionally designed? Is your website hosted by a reliable web hosting firm? Does your website stand out among the myriad of websites online today?

If your website looks plain, is often down, does not have an e-mail subscriber form, or has broken links and does not provide the visitor with a unique experience, then you will need to re-group and consider ways to improve your professional image online.

Add a Sitemap to Help Google Index your Content

The search engine fairy does not just come down and "ordain" you and grant you traffic. It doesn't work that way. Instead, with careful planning and a lot of hard work, you can build an audience, a brand, and a community which you can then monetize. Add a site map to help Google index your relevant pages, videos and images. There are many WordPress sitemap plug-ins which will help you to build an XML site map, which is the file type that Google Webmaster Tools prefers.

On the world wide web, Internet entrepreneurs who are good at creating content and building an audience often struggle with the question of building that traffic into a sustainable and profitable business. Often times speaking, coaching, sponsorships, partnerships, online events, and online courses are thought of as the best ways to monetize a brand online. It is true, these strategies can be effective and profitable, but in the long-term, you must find out (usually through trial and error) which strategy you enjoy the most. By solving the mystery of which monetization strategy you enjoy, you can increase your chances of being successful at it and gaining true freedom.

Three types of most popular web content:
  1. Images
  2. Articles
  3. YouTube videos
So, now that we know what we must do before getting started and what is needed lay the ground work for making money online, let's learn how to monetize valuable content.

You may ask... why me? Am I ready? I am waiting for the perfect time, the perfect moment, and the ideal situation. That does not exist. It is a myth. But, by having a brand in place, having an audience in place, and a reliable and consistent schedule for adding content, you are as close to the perfect time as you are going to get to monetize your content.

Images: Google Image Search and Monetizing your Images
  • Google Image search can be one of your greatest traffic sources.
If you have a website that has an audience, then most likely you have plenty of high-quality well-selected images for your website or blog. But many bloggers or website owners are unsure of exactly how to monetize images not only to grow traffic, but also to generate an income.

Many bloggers use WordPress. It is the most popular blogging content management system on the Internet today. People use images as a way to complement their articles and create interest. The question is, however, how can a blogger take those images to build an audience? Traditionally, bloggers were encouraged by their marketing staff to never include text on their images. Because after all, search engine bots can not read the text on images. But that strategy has changed with the dawn of the social media era. Pinterest, for example, has evolved into one of the fastest growing social media networks and it is the quickest way, second only to Twitter, to build an audience-fast!

Steps to monetize images:
  1. The first step is to upload images to your website or blog along with descriptive text for the image. Make sure that your image is searchable and public. When you upload the image, make sure that the web page which contains your image is publicly accessible. This pertains to social networks too. For example, if you upload an image to Google+ make sure that your privacy settings are set to "Public".
  2. The second step is to take advantage of existing web pages that you have worked on over the years to monetize the images that you have already uploaded. Most bloggers utilize WordPress for their publishing. WordPress plug-in allows you to display a "pin it" image when people hover over images on your WordPress blog. The name of the plug-in is called "J Query Pin-It button for Images". This allows you to do a lot of customizations such as do you want your images to show up on posts or categories. You can also show the minimal revolution of which you want the Pin-It button to show up. For example, you can set it to show up the Pin-It button on images that are larger than 200px x 200px. You can also specify where you want the Pin-It button to appear on your page.
Insiders Secrets to Monetizing Web Content
  • What should you write about?
Write about something you know well, enjoy and can continue to learn. The main way to generate revenue through articles is by writing about something you know. Do people ask you questions about a certain topic? On social media outlets, when people want to find the answer about a certain topic, they will ask someone whom they consider to be the authority of that field. As soon as you realize that there is an opportunity for you to take something you have already done, package it up and teach it to other people, you are one step closer to the ultimate freedom. Offer your visitors results, then generate revenue. It is incredibly powerful.

What unique experiences have you done or done for someone else? That is what you should write about and focus on. Although you might not consider yourself an "expert", when you make the shift to understand that you know something valuable which can be taught to people, you are in a much more powerful position to generate revenue.

Rather than having your content be a "hobby", you are positioned very well. It is something that you can realistically achieve. Make money off of your online content. The hard part is building an audience, bulging a community of people that trust you. Generating great content is the hard part. If you already have the platform, you are more than 50% there, so people in this situation need to setup a strategy for monetizing their content. It is very obtainable for people in this situation.

The struggling point, however, is lacking a real strategy to generate revenue. So, build the platform and once you have done this, you can do anything. Most people that market products pay people who have the platform to introduce their products. So, if you already have the platform, then you can accomplish a lot because building the platform is the hard part. Think about the people who are individuals with their own brand. Those are the people that can really rise to the top of financial freedom.

Over time as your community evolves and grows and you go on your journey of building content and an audience, many bloggers, podcasters and YouTuber's struggle with how to channel their community, take their content and audience to make money online. There are so many ways that you can monetize a platform so it does not come down to which one is best but rather by discovering the strategy you enjoy most.
YouTube Videos:
  • YouTube videos that are 3-6 minute videos that cover a specific content or thought are popular for monetization, especially a channel that has new, quality videos added on a consistent basis.
Steps to monetize videos:
  1. Create your YouTube channel.
  2. Upload your well-created, original videos.
  3. Select the videos that you want to monetize. Once you have selected those videos, click "monetize" in YouTube. YouTube will place ads on your videos, and depending on how many visitors you have, you make money from that video channel. You will get paid a commission for each click that you generate from your videos. In order to see the analytics, login to your video manager in YouTube and you will see earning records and analytics. This will help you to determine which type of videos are making the most revenue. This helps you know what type of videos to create in the future.
If you are an Internet Marketer who has figured out how to make money but you do not have great content, you deserve a big congrats. But, if you are like the rest of us, you need great content in order to make money online. You need to have a professional looking website to build your brand and promote your packaged product.

You need to have a platform and an audience in order to build revenue. Because, after all, we all want to have quality, meaningful products that help people, while at the same time making money. It's not asking too much, is it?

Best Tips: Changes to Ad Units Impact AdSense Earnings

Dear friends as an AdSense publisher, you are always looking for effective ways to maximize your site’s revenue through Google Ads but without hampering the end user experience.

You therefore routinely experiment with ad units of different sizes, you rotate between different colors palettes, all this and more just to determine that perfect combination which will yield the highest the click-through rate.

There’s one problem though. When you make any change to your AdSense Ad units, you need to have them live on your website for least a week or two to determine whether that change has had an effect on your earnings, if any. And if you make more than one change in the same window, tracking their effect on performance gets even more difficult.

Things are about to become simple though.

Changes to Ad Units Impact AdSense Earnings

The AdSense team is testing a new feature that will help publishers easily understand how changes to ad units have impacted their earnings over time.

Now when you make a change to any of your ad units, big or small, that event will be highlighted as a labeled flag in your AdSense performance reports. You can click the flag to know the exact change that you have made. This is completely automatic and you will also be able to track the effect of any changes that you may have made in the past few years to your AdSense account.

For instance, if you refer to the screenshot above, the label “E” suggests the impact on earnings /CTR when the font size of an ad unit was changed from media to large while label “B” represents the event when an existing ad was changed to serve both text and image ads instead of just text ads.

Other than individual ad units, you’ll also be able to determine the impact on earnings from blocking any ad categories or when you make more channels available for placement targeting to attract new advertisers.

Overall, all this is extremely useful and actionable data but you’ll to wait for a while – the feature is still in beta and may not be available in your AdSense dashboard yet.

If you like my work; you can show your regards by hitting Facebook like button, following us on Google+ or Twitter, stumbling our posts on stumble upon . Stay tuned for more tech updates.

Content Web Pages with AdSense

Some of these websites could be doing really good with regards to AdSense revenue but Google also gives Adwords advertisers an option to block display of ads on web pages that contain only "user generated content".

Google advertisers can also prevent their ads from getting displayed on social networks and online forums where "content changes often and is harder to monitor than content in more static pages."

And the recent changes in AdSense Policies allow publishers to place AdSense unites on registration form and pages that return 404 errors but again, Adwords clients have an option to hide their ads on such error pages.

Blog Monetizing Smartly and Let the Cash Pour In

Blog Monetizing Smartly and Let the Cash Pour In

To be really popular as a blogger, you must encourage visitors from commenting on your posts. After writing a long opinion about something on your blog, the best way to conclude is by saying  “What do you think”? When your blog receives frequent comments, new site visitors will also get the impression that your blog is popular and they too may consider subscribing to your blog.

Always respond to user comments. Most visitors who leave comments tend to return after some time to read other comments on the topic. If their comment remains unanswered, it could discourage them from posting new comments in the future.

Don’t get discouraged by negative feedback.
You will always find some people who have bad things to say about what you have written. If the comment is too aggressive or uses foul language, it is best to remove it from the blog. After all, your blog is not a public restroom.

More visitors mean more ad impressions, which in turn means more revenue. From the perspective of search engines, a blog is no different from a website. All the basic search engine optimization rules equally apply to any blog, for a good search engine ranking. Search engines love blogs more than regular websites, since blogs are content-rich and turn up new content more frequently than websites.

Discussing Search Engine Optimizer, SEO, techniques may be beyond the scope of this article but still, I would mention some of the most important things, that bloggers should bear in mind while designing their blog and posting content:

Write good titles: Blog titles is one of the best ways to attract readers to your blog. Write meaningful titles that convey the essence of your blog posts. A title like “Look at this cool wireless device” is likely to fetch very few visitors when compared with “Nikon P1 Wireless Digital Camera Review”.

Time is always a problem for most web surfers
A usability study has shown that people merely scan a site and don’t read the content word by word. Therefore, highlight the important words (make them bold), italicize the lines to get people to at least read the most important portions of your story.

Don’t substitute text with graphics. Agreed, that a picture is worth a thousand words in real life but the same may not hold true for search engines. You can always complement your posts with a nice looking, small graphic but in doing so, don’t replace the text content. Google or Yahoo cannot read the text inside your pictures they understand only textual content.

Before using multimedia content like audio-video clips, flash files
Think of the user who visits your website using a slow dialup connection  the site may take ages to load on the user’s screen and you tend lose the all-important visitor. It’s highly unlikely that he’ll ever visit your site again. Use small graphics instead.

Don’t write lengthy content, as visitors are very likely to lose interest. Instead, break the content in different parts and link them together.

More than 60% of the web population cannot understand English. But thanks to online translation services like Google Translate, Babel Fish or World Lingo, you can let non-English speaking visitors translate your blog into their native language.

Use web analytics software like Google Analytics (formerly, Urchin), Statcounter or Sitemeter to track what visitors are doing on your website.
These free services can help you discover what sections on your website are more popular, how did people reach your site, how long they stayed, their browser, screen resolution and tonnes of other important details. Using this information, you can estimate what people are actually looking for on your website. Understand what content is popular and why is it popular. You can apply these lessons learned to the less-popular content.

Not everyone in this world understands RSS
Many internet users won’t now how to use a RSS reader like Newsgator or Bloglines, but they definitely know e-mail. There are tons of RSS-to-email services like FeedBlitz or Bloglet that let people subscribe to your blog by e-mail. You must use them to widen your subscriber base.

There are plenty of other things that can help increase the visibility of your website. If you like to contribute your own tips, please leave them in the comments section.

The next big thing
We have talked about visitors but what ads which will actually generate money. Let’s look at some effective techniques for monetizing your blog:

Use ads above the main page fold
That’s the most important thing in my opinion. Users should notice the ad as soon as they land on your site without scrolling further.

Wide Rectangle Formats (300×250) generally perform better than leader boards and small rectangles because the eyes are used to reading content from left to right.

Your ad placement should blend with the content. Use colour schemes that match with whole page theme – if you use highly contrasting colours assuming that it will attract attention, it won’t work, as the ad clearly tells the user – “Hey, I am an Ad”

For short posts, ads work best when they are placed above the content, while for lengthy ones, try an ad placement at the bottom of the post. When readers finish reading the content, they generally look for related resources to learn more.

Organize a party of your friends and relatives
Show them your website and look at their navigation pattern  this could give important pointers about which areas on your website attract more attention and which areas are likely to be ignored by the users.

Don’t make heavy use of stop words like death, murder, kill, etc if you are using the Adsense programme. Google would stop displaying ads on pages that use these stop words. There are exceptions as well, like in one case, a user wrote on Dead Pixels on LCD screens  the post had the word ‘dead’ in multiple places and Google did accept the page.

Remember not to clutter your website with too many ad units.
This could leave a bad impression on your user and he may go away forever. Use your own judgment if you see a similar layout on a third website, what kind of impression would you form of that website.

The new way to make a living in Blogs

The new way to make a living in Blogs

Unless you are living under the rock for the past few years, you may have heard of the term “blogs” or personal diaries that are published online by millions of users across the globe. (Stats say that 71.5 million blogs exist as of today)

Jumping the blogging bandwagon is simple pick your niche, choose a blogging platform (like Blogger, WordPress) and start writing. The moment you hit that publish button, your thoughts and commentary instantly reach hundreds and thousands of souls with little effort.

You can blog on virtually any topic from shoes to iPods to cooking to stuffed toys think of a niche that you are passionate about, write consistently and you will automatically find readers in some corner of the world who’ll enjoy your writing and keep coming back for more.

People have quit their 9-to-5 jobs to take up blogging as a full time profession and they aren’t complaining.
And blogging is not just about sharing expression; it can even help pay your utility bills provided your blog gets a decent amount of traffic. (Monetisation can be tough if there’s just one person reading your blog you)

There are generally two options to generate revenue from blogging you either make money because of the blog or from the blog. In the former case, people (clients or potential employers) can offer you consulting and other paying gigs because you have a blog that reflects your knowledge and command over some subject.

The other more popular option, which we discuss in detail, is about making money directly from the blog through advertising, sponsorships, paid reviews, donations or even selling merchandise (like T-shirts and mugs).

The grand-daddy of all advertising programmes is Adsense from the same company whose name is synonymous with internet search Google. Adsense is a contextual advertising programme meaning they scan your web page and deliver ads based on the context. For instance, a website on mobile phones is unlikely to see random ads of cars or cooking recipes the ads will be about mobile phones or something related like ringtones and chargers.

Adsense is hugely popular in India for several reasons first, it’s the brand “Google”. They have tonnes of advertisers in their kitty so your web pages are less likely to run out of ad inventory. Google’s contextual advertising system is solid and known to deliver mostly relevant ads  therefore the conversation rates are high keeping both the advertisers and publishers happy.

[Yahoo! and MSN are also expected to launch similar advertising programmes for Indian publishers sometime in near future.]

Text Link Ads and Adbrite are other good sources of revenue for bloggers. You place a link on your website / blog pointing to the advertiser’s page and are paid based on the time for which the link is live.

Next in the list are affiliate programmes like the ones offered by Amazon, Commission Junction and eBay. These programmes pay only when the click turns into a sale  the payouts are higher than standard advertising rates but the probability of earning review is relatively low because a lot of people may quit the advertiser’s site without making a purchase.

Services like Payperpost and ReviewMe are also receiving lot of attention in the blogging community. Bloggers are paid anywhere between $10 and $250 for writing product reviews on their personal blogs. The blogger’s fee is dependent on factors including blog popularity and the blogger’s niche. For instance, a gadgets blog may invite a higher rate than a parenting blog or even vice-versa.

Blogs have tremendous potential in terms of revenue provided you are willing to make a dedicated and consistent effort. There are people who have quit their regular 9-to-5 jobs to take up blogging as a full-time profession and they aren’t complaining.
